Merdø is an island in the archipelago outside Arendal town, and is well worth a visit. Merdøgaard is a small coastal farm with a captain's home from 1736, kept as it was in 1800, with original interior and furniture.
The museum is open every day from 24th of June to 13th of August 2023.
Guidet tours in Norwegian are given:
Monday - Friday: 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Saturday - Sunday: 12 noon and 1 p.m
Entrance to the museum is only in the form of a guided tour.

How to get to Merdø:
